Lockdown 5.0 and Unlock 3.0

We had another lockdown restricted to Bangalore and some other parts of Karnataka. It was not as stringent as the initial phases of Lockdown from March through May. It seemed like business as usual anyway. Today the lockdown was lifted but I don't feel any difference as such. Ofcourse, ordering essentials from online platforms resulted in difficulty. The situation at hospitals is apparently pretty bad. I hope we all stay safe. This Friday sets off a series of festivals in the country. I hope everyone will be sensible and not go over the top with public celebrations. I hope everyone celebrates festivals privately this year.

Unlock 2.0 Days 7 to 14

I took a week long break from blogging. I wanted to focus on a few other things. I do not know how much longer I should continue with my lockdown diary. Anyway, after a long time, I went out for grocery shopping a couple of days back. I am glad to be well stocked now. We are all set to go into a city-wide lockdown from tomorrow evening for the next 10 days. I'm not sure if 10 days are good enough but hey, it's a start. In other news, Amitabh Bachchan and most of his family tested positive. He and his son are hospitalised. Other than that, there is nothing new. There have been rumours floating around that there are some cases in our neighbourhood but nothing is verifiable at the moment. Oh, also, West Indies and England are playing test cricket match in an empty stadium without use of saliva on the ball but with back sweat instead. The world is slowly moving ahead, not sure if it is the right thing to do.

Unlock 2.0 Days 4, 5 and 6

The cases of virus infections have grown a lot in the city. There is a shortage of doctors too is what I have heard. India is now in the 3rd position in the world with respect to the number of infections. The recovery rate is good too but still a long way to go. Yesterday, there was a state-wide lockdown. While most businesses remained closed, people in general were roaming about as usual, most (not all) with a mask on. WHO is contemplating on declaring the disease airborne- which, if true is going to be disastrous. I am not sure when we can have a genuine vaccine in place which is safe and efficacious. Life at work is just the same. Nothing new or noteworthy at the moment. I think I must take a day of to sort my life. I am kind of feeling a bit overwhelmed with not being able to get ahead in whatever I have planned. I need to set new boundaries, set some new goals. I am rambling now :-). 'til next time!

Unlock 2.0 Days 1, 2 and 3

Nothing much has changed since Unlock 1.0. However, we are no longer allowed to go out from 8pm to 5am in the city. Also, Sundays are a complete shutdown in the city. The cases in the country are rising and the recovery rate has said to be improved. In Bangalore the doubling rate of cases is down to 4 days which is scary. I hope people in the city exercise more caution and are able to control the disease. For us indoors, we have settled to this new life. Oh! Before I forget, I had to stop going to my walks in the mornings so I am back to working out at home.
